Norm Pattis was retained by Fotis Dulos on Friday, June 7, Pattis' office confirmed.

Pattis and his law partner Kevin Smith will first appear with Fotis Dulos, who remains behind bars on $500,000 bond, in court for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, June 11.

“I caution the world at large that things are rarely as they appear early on in a sensationalized investigation like this one," said Pattis. "The rush to judgment stops now as does the conviction by innuendo. If necessary, we’ll let a jury decide what happened here.”

Jennifer Dulos, 50, has not been seen since dropping off her five children at school on Friday, May 24. Her black Chevy Suburban was found abandoned on the side of Lapham Road near Waveny Park after she was reported missing.

The couple had been going through a contentious divorce for at least two years, and Jennifer Dulos has stated on several occasions that she was afraid of her husband and feared for her safety.

Pattis and Smith are no strangers to high profile cases.

Pattis currently represents Alex Jones and Infowars in civil suits filed against them by survivors of the Sandy Hook shootings and the ex-wife of Russian billionaire Shalva Chigirinsky, Tatiana Panchenkova, in a bitter custody battle.

He also has recent trail wins on behalf of Saifullah Khan a Yale student accused of raping a classmate in her dorm room, the Tennis Shoe Murder case against Jon Gibbs in a case of mistaken identity, and the infamous Manhattan Madam (Anna Gristina) case in New York.

On Monday, June 10, New Canaan Police said a search continues at a recycling and garbage facility in Hartford by Connecticut State Police, as local police sift through items that were allegedly dumped by Fotis Dulos and his girlfriend in garbage cans and sewer grates in Hartford. Some of the items are said to contain the blood of Jennifer Dulos.

The police department has also created a web site findjenniferdulos.com for the public in hopes it will lead to any clue that will help them find Jennifer Dulos. There is also an email address dedicated to the case where tips can be sent FindJenniferDulos@newcanaanct.gov.

“Information from the public has aided the progress of this investigation, said New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski. "We urge everyone with information regarding Jennifer’s disappearance to contact us."

To date, investigators have received more than 310 tips regarding the disappearance of Jennifer and nearly 75 responses with video surveillance from homes or businesses, the chief said.

"We will not rest until we find Jennifer," he added.
